| My composition “MIRADAS” is now a videoclip: the Italian singer Chiara Izzi recorded it for her upcoming duo album “Live In Bremen” (with the pianist Andrea Rea) and produced a video of it, too. This song is very dear to me for several reasons, one of which is because it is the result of a collaboration with my dear friend and lyricist Yanina Lombardi, and my wife Chiara, the singer herself. The longtime friendship among the three of us is palpable. The song is also an invitation to see the beauty in the world around us. Music and the art in general are celebrated in the song as a way to make the world a better, more human place, while the singing becomes a way to pull out our emotions. Introspective gazes of an adult who does not lose sight of their inner child and their pure feeling of being happy with simple things. For the realization of the video we joined forces with another friend of ours, the incredible Annika Pannitto who created the concept, made the choreography and danced under the video direction of the brilliant Juan Esparza and his assistant Ana Gómez. The little Frida joined them as well to gift us with the tenderness that is always needed in the world, now more than ever during these turbulent times. |
